The Visual Communication Division plays an important role in effectively communicating the activities and programmes of the Department and the Government to the public. The major responsibilities of the Division include maintaining digitised audio-video archives, documentary production, coordinating documentation stringers in the districts, and archiving videos for the requirements of the Department and the Government. The Division also undertakes the production of documentaries reflecting the cultural heritage of the State and the development and welfare activities of the Government.
The major responsibility of the Programme Production Division is the production and coordination of various programmes for television and radio channels. The Division ensures the production and coordination of programmes through various audio-visual media to effectively communicate information regarding various Government schemes, development activities and welfare programmes to the public.
